One way to increase reading time for kids is to get them to read book series. Books in a series keep kids reading more books without taking too much time pondering what to read next. What they’ll read next is the next book in the series!
With so many grades, ages, and interests, which book series will hit the spot for your readers? I’ve divided my book series recommendations by age and genre to help you find exactly what your child or student will love.

Best Early Elementary Book Series (ages 6 – 8)
As a teacher and parent, I just love recommending book series. Why? Because once a child finds a book they like, there are lots more to read in the series. This takes away the “what to read next” conundrum that can inhibit daily reading.
Kids like series because there’s a familiarity with characters and sometimes plot structure. From an education standpoint, this is hugely beneficial to growing readers.
