Things are getting SPICY on the motherhood front. While we can’t confirm that Maralee Nichols posting a picture of her son is a direct response to Khloé’s moving tribute to Tristan Thompson showcasing their two children together, it certainly seems possible. Now the internet is roaring with gasps (and if you need some backstory, click the link above).
Maralee Nichols took to her Instagram Stories almost immediately after Kardashian’s post in honor of Tristan Thompson’s 32nd birthday. The collection of images proudly showed off their two children together, a seven-month-old baby boy and daughter True, who is nearly five years old.
But the bigger issue is how many people in Thompson’s life were displayed. Kardashian showcased her children’s father with a variety of family members ranging from siblings to nieces and nephews, cousins and more. And yet, his 15-month-old son with Maralee Nichols, Theo, was nowhere to be found.
In the upload, Nichols is in bed smiling as she cuddles Theo on her chest. They look snug as a bug.
Tristan Thompson hasn’t publicly discussed Theo since January 2022, when he confirmed that the child was, indeed, his son. At that point, the NBA player shared through an Instagram Story, “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
He also added, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal…”
Kardashian’s post highlighted what a wonderful father Tristan has been, saying he’s the, “best father,” and ending with “Happy birthday baby daddy.”
Comments immediately flooded Instagram. “This is a salty response to KK’s birthday post about Tristan and it’s understandable,” wrote one fan.
“It would be nice if we could see ALL his kids together,” another chimed in.
Yet another asked, “Do you think this was a pointed petty act?”
