The seat weighs around 14 pounds, while the Orbit Baby frame is almost 20 pounds. There are excellent travel systems and lightweight strollers with lighter frames, but the Orbit stroller has other great characteristics which compensate for the weight.

An important part of my Orbit Baby G5 review is the assembly. Installing the frame and the wheels is simple and takes less than several minutes.

However, the stroller is still on the heavier side, with a weight of 47 pounds when fully assembled.

I don’t make a compromise with this – I need to be able to fold the stroller with one hand because I will probably have the baby in the other!

The tires are durable and feature a special shock-absorbing system. The wheels swivel and are fully lockable.

The base price for the G5 Orbit Baby stroller is over $1,000. Accessories included are a detachable basket, frame, handlebar, cup holders, and snack tray. However, other accessories such as foot muff, rain cover, net for insects, sidekick, travel bag, and panniers aren’t included.

If you have to buy any or several accessories, it will increase the price significantly. However, the brand allows hire purchases, through monthly rates.

The Orbit Stroller G5 is suitable for infants from birth up to 50 pounds. You can use it parent-facing, forward, or side-facing.

Who’d the Product be Best for?

If you have the money and don’t mind spending it, G5 is a great stroller to splurge on. It is suitable for everyday rides to the park and city rides.

The stroller is also great for families with smaller cars because of the compact size, but the weight might repeal you. If you don’t have a problem with an extra pound or two, G5 is worth your attention!
