Our Experience with this Easy Stocking Craft for Kids
Down under here in Australia, where I’m writing this post, we still have the traditional Christmas stockings but they always seem a tad out of place when everything is heating up for summer and everyone is walking around in sandals.
In Europe the first Christmas stockings were just everyday socks probably the long thick woolen sort of socks that are perfect for winter.
I know that in America, where you still have your Christmas happily positioned in the middle of winter, hand-crafted stockings have become a family tradition in many homes.

And this is good news because Christmas stockings must be one of the easiest shapes to cut out and sew and making them with your kids before Christmas is a great way to build on their brewing excitement.
