Indoor golf in Chicago is for the times we need to be inside, but we still have kids that will climb the walls if we don’t get them some activity. If you want a lot of action, you can find a true indoor miniature golf course where kids can putt and walk after the ball to get a change of scenery and some kitschy fun. If you’re ok with just getting enough motion to get kids off the couch, you can try a golf simulator. Part golf and part video game, this is a great way for kids to learn the game even when they’re stuck inside.
We’ve rounded up a dozen places to play indoor golf in Chicago without venturing into the great outdoors. So if you’re having a subpar day, gather up your little birdies and swing out to one of these fun greens.

8. Game of Irons — Oak Brook
Okay, we’ll admit we came in here because we saw the Game of Thrones themed signage from the highway and we thought it was funny to put the Khaleesi and the Hand of the Queen in the golf club throne and take a picture. But we also had a lot of fun with the golf simulator, playing mostly knock the bricks from the wall, but also trying out real golf courses to see how our swings were. There’s also a good food and drink selection for both kids and grown-ups.
