Summer festivals come in all colors and flavors here in Chicago, and they’re back in full force in June 2022. Families can choose artistic festivals in Uptown or Edgewater, or internationally themed fests in Lincoln Square, Lincoln Park, Andersonville, Itasca, or Chinatown. Try a food festival in the South Loop or at Six Corners, or a music festival downtown or in Lakeview. Don’t forget Juneteenth and Father’s Day! They’re both on June 19 this year and you can celebrate the former at a BBQ at DuSable Museum or a show in Bridgeport, and the latter in Oak Brook with a classic car show or Westmont with fishing. 

Beat the heat with one of our favorite splash pads or swimming lakes in the Chicago area. Or, head out to the far suburbs or rural areas for a drive-in or to pick strawberries. We’ve got lists for both!
