- Wild sloths are mammals that look like monkeys; however, they are more closely related to armadillos and anteaters.

- Sloths have a very low metabolic rate and low body temperature, so they only need a little bit of food.
- Sloths only poop once a week.
- Their weak hind legs and long arms make it nearly impossible to stand on all fours, but sloths are very good swimmers.
- Sloths eat, sleep, rest, mate and even give birth in the trees. They spend most of their lives hanging in trees!
