Preschool Apple Tree Craft
This fun apple tree craft is perfect for preschoolers and is made out of construction paper, tissue paper, and craft sticks.
Let’s gather our craft supplies and make an apple tree craft for fall!
This is a great fine motor skills activity for fall with the kids using a pencil and scissors, and then tearing tissue paper and scrunching it into a ball. Talk to them about the different colors of apples too.
How to make a paper apple tree
I made a similar craft to this with the students recently, only I used pre-cut green circles for the tree. In hindsight though I wish I’d let them draw their own circle on the paper and then cut it out. So this is what we are going to do here, then we’ll scrunch the tissue paper ‘apples’ and glue them onto the tree.

Instructions for making our paper apple trees
Step 1
Have the kids freehand circles onto the construction paper with a pencil. The best part of this craft is that the circle doesn’t need to be perfect, and every circle will be a little bit different, just like an apple tree.
Using the scissors have them cut out their circle.
Step 2
Tear pieces of tissue paper in the colors of apples. These don’t have to be perfect, but try to keep them under about 2 inches in size.
Step 3
Take each piece of torn tissue paper and scrunch it into a ball. Glue the tissue paper ball onto the construction paper tree using the glue stick.
Step 4
Using your glue stick, attach a popsicle stick trunk onto the back of your construction paper apple tree.
