New Year Crafts FAQs
New Year’s Eve is a big deal for families, and it’s up to us parents to make it extra special for our little ones. But don’t worry, you don’t need to go out and spend a ton of money – there are plenty of fun things you can do at home. How about a dance party? Or a scavenger hunt? Or a cozy movie night? Or a time capsule? Or a resolution jar? The possibilities are endless, so get creative and make some memories with your kids. Happy New Year!
So, is it “new year” or “new years”? Good news – you’re right either way. “New year” is the singular form, while “new years” is the plural. So, if you’re feeling fancy and singular, you can say “I’m looking forward to the new year.” But if you want to be inclusive and plural, you can say “I’m excited to celebrate the new years with my family.” Either way, you’re celebrating the start of the new calendar year, and that’s what matters.
Why is January 1 the new year? Well, it’s the start of a new calendar year, which makes sense. But it’s also the beginning of a new cycle or era, which is kind of deep. And it’s the time for celebrating and partying, which is always fun. So, there you have it – January 1 is the new year for lots of reasons. Happy New Year!
