Visit the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery, which is home to an extensive living collection of freshwater reptiles, fish, and amphibians from across the state. Or visit the Whaling Museum, where you can participate in the Scrimshaw Detective Program and scour the facility for clues to unlock a hidden message. Cap it off with a visit to the village of Cold Spring, which offers many charming dining options.

Lace up your walking shoes and visit the Avalon Nature Preserve, a space with unique features at every turn.
