E is for Elephant Craft – Preschool E Craft

Making an ‘E is for elephant craft’ is a fun way to introduce the very first alphabet letter. This Letter E Craft is one of our favorite letter E activities for preschoolers because the word angel starts with E and the letter craft is shaped like the letter E. This letter E preschool craft works well at home or in the preschool classroom.

Easy Letter E Craft

Preschoolers can either draw the letter E shape themselves or use our letter E template. Our favorite part of this letter craft is attaching the paper ears and paper trunk to make an elephant!

Supplies Needed

Instructions For Letter E Preschool Craft: Elephant

Step 1 – Create the Letter E Shape

Trace and cut out letter E or download, print and cut out this letter E template:

Step 2 – Give Craft a Canvas Foundation

Glue the letter E onto the piece of construction paper of a contrasting color.

Step 3 – Add the Elephant Details to the Letter E

1. For the elephant ear: Shape the ear by tracing the ear with a pencil on the construction paper and cut it out with scissors. Glue the elephant ear on the top left part of the E.
2. For the elephant eyes: Glue on the googly eyes.
3. For the elephant feet: Take a black marker and draw two toes on the bottom part of the letter E and the middle part of the letter E.
4. For the elephant truck: Take a strip of the construction paper and fold it back and forth and then glue it onto the top of the letter e.
