Written By: Marybeth Bock
Can we ALL agree that the 80s generated some pretty spectacular (or should I say “rad”) movies? Many of them are SO iconic that they’ve withstood the test of time.
The absolute best 80s classics are a fun mix of humor, adventure, and coming-of-age themes that not only stir up memories for us parents but resonate with our teenagers. Sure, our kids might get a kick out of the dated special effects, the fact that we wore our hair that big or dressed like Molly Ringwald. And, we all know the humor was a tad hokey, but the messages they conveyed are so worth taking the time to watch.
So, grab the snacks and a cozy blanket and hunker down with your teen for a fun, memorable, and entertaining night that’s quite literally a blast from the past!
*A few of these films were rated R in the 80s so they seem tamer today but be sure to check out parental guidelines before watching.
