This pine cone snake craft is one of my favorite pine cone crafts. You need minimal crafting supplies, it is budget friendly, and kids of all ages will love making this pine cone snake craft. Nature crafts are some of my favorite types of crafts! This pine cone craft is neat, because it turns into a snake craft! It is perfect for preschoolers and toddlers.

It’s simple, colorful, and a great way to use pinecones. They’re cheap or if you’re lucky free (if you live near pines.) Pine cone craft one after another. That’s what we do now. We can’t get enough of pine cones! They are great natural craft supply for kids to work with. Pine cones, in general, are interesting things for little kids to play with.

They love the texture of them and the size of a pine cone is perfect for those little hands. This pine cone snake craft is budget friendly as it only needs a handful of cheap craft supplies. Supplies Needed To Make This Pine Cone Craft

How To This Make A Pine Cone Snake Craft

Step 1

Color the pine cones and let them dry.

Step 2

Then you can start tying them up with a rope. Fold the rope in half and place the pine cone in the middle. Tie it, making sure the rope is hidden between pine cone pieces in the lower part of the pine cone. Do the same with all the pine cones.

Step 3

Glue on googly eyes and tongue on the last pine cone.

Our Experience With This Fun and Colorful Pine Cone Snake Craft

Kids enjoyed coloring the pine cones in different colors. I helped by tying all of them with the rope. They placed the eyes and the tongue, I glued it on.

And now – it’s playtime! As always, we love when a craft turns into a toy for some imaginary play. It happens pretty often in our crafting world.

Easy pinecone crafts are our favorite, because I love that we can use natural materials from outside. This can double as a fall craft or a winter season craft since there are pine cones everywhere!
