Free activities in Chicago keep kids busy and happy throughout the summer without taxing your wallet. And you just might be surprised at just how many family-friendly summer events in Chicago are totally FREE. Of course, the city’s playgrounds and splash pads are always free, and there are free days at most museums. But in the summertime, the free events in Chicago really ramp up.
